I visited the William Eggleston 'Energy and Process' Exhibition at the Tate Modern during the week. His images mostly taken in South America experiment with colour and 'dye transfer' a process which allows the different colours in the image to be printed separately in their strongest form. I really enjoyed visiting the exhibition, his images are bold and colourful creating eye catching and striking photos. He uses diagonal lines, reflections and bright colours to create effective photos. He is portraying 'life today' rather than documenting a particular point in time and describes his work as 'depicts the banal and everyday.'
